The "Weez" electric car
MTM built this prototype for Eon Motors in just two months. After a study of the construction plans with the designers, a set of templates was produced based on our indications. The preparation and finishing of the templates was accomplished in our workshops. We then used the jigs to create a set of female castings so we could do a lamination schedule and build the car.
The chassis is based on a honeycomb core and uses a unique new bonding process. The cutting was done with a water jet machine. The Weez was delivered in time for the Geneva Motor Show on March 5, 2011.
